Our Vision

We envisage a future where everybody can afford to obtain legal advice and assistance to prevent or resolve disputes and protect their rights. In short, and with apologies to Metallica, our vision is justice for all.

Our Mission

We strive to provide high-quality and affordable legal services to individuals and small businesses who do not qualify for legal aid or other subsidised legal assistance and who cannot afford a private lawyer, through innovative and sustainable service design and delivery.

Why ‘Leading Edge’?

The firm’s name is a nod to a passage in Robert Pirsig’s book ‘Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance‘.

Romantic reality is the cutting edge of experience. It’s the leading edge of the train of knowledge that keeps the whole train on the track. Traditional knowledge is only the collective memory of where that leading edge has been … The leading edge is where absolutely all the action is. The leading edge contains all the infinite possibilities of the future. It contains all the history of the past …

Director and Principal Lawyer

I am a father of three and husband of one.

My passion is helping people prevent or resolve legal problems so they can get on with the things they’d rather be doing. In addition to running Leading Edge Legal, I am also a lecturer at the Curtin Law School and a nationally accredited mediator.

I don’t want to bore you with lists of my qualifications, memberships and experience, but for those of you who are interested in all that guff, you are welcome to check out (and connect with) my LinkedIn profile here.

If you’d like to catch up over a coffee to get to know me (try before you buy?), feel free to book a convenient time here:
